How to Be Born Again
The A, B, C's of Salvation
A. All.
Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of
the glory of God." If you do not, and cannot, recognize you are
a sinner and cannot save yourself from eternal condemnation, you
cannot be born again.
B. Believe.
Romans 10:9 says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth
the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath
raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." You must believe
that Jesus Christ alone can save you from all sin. He did this
by dying upon the cross for your sins, shedding His blood, and
being bodily resurrected from the grave three days later.
C. Call.
Romans 10:9 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of
the Lord shall be saved."
Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
According to the verses you have just read, if you say a simple
prayer of acknowledgement, you will be born again and saved for
eternity.
If you have never done this, or doubt you are truly born
again, say a prayer something like this.
Lord Jesus, I confess I am a sinner and cannot save myself.
I believe you died on the cross, suffered in my place, and I
believe you were resurrected on the third day. I ask you to be
the Lord of my life and to save me. In the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ, amen.
Yes, it is just that simple. "For whosoever shall call upon
the name of the Lord shall be saved," (Acts 2:21). I did this at
the age of five. Read my simple testimony of salvation elsewhere
